We are excited that you have chosen to be a part of the Ballet Academy of Moses Lake. Please be sure to read the following Terms of Service and Studio Policies carefully before payment. Payment of services means that you have agreed to all Terms of Service and Studio Policies.


Terms of Service

  • I fully understand and acknowledge that by registering my child for any dance classes that they are required to take all the indicated days and times that on the schedule.

  • I agree to pay all monthly tuition and fees according to the payment schedule and understand late charges will be assessed to my account if not paid on time. Additionally, I agree that once my fees (including monthly tuition, costumes, private lessons etc.) Have been paid they are non-refundable or transferable. I understand that I am signing up for the full 2021–2022 season.

  • I understand that monthly tuition is a set price and will NOT be prorated.

  • I fully understand that the Ballet Academy of Moses Lake will follow the MLSD 161 school closures for inclement weather. The directors reserve the right to overrule any of these closures and will notify parents of any changes. Classes will not be made up by the studio. Students are encouraged to take additional classes on their own for missed days.

  • I fully understand and acknowledge that tuition is due at the beginning of each month and that there will be a $25 late fee applied if payment is received after the 10th of each month. I also acknowledge that I am registering my child for the full 2021–2022 season and must fill out an early withdrawal/ transfer form prior to the beginning of the month if any of the above classes change or need to be dropped or I will be responsible for the full month tuition and all late fees. There will be a $35 NSF fee for all return checks.

  • I acknowledge and realize that any missed or canceled classes are my responsibility to schedule make up times.

  • I fully understand and acknowledge that in allowing my child to participate and dance at The Ballet Academy of Moses Lake that there is always a risk of injury and will not hold Ballet Academy of Moses Lake, Lacey Schindler, Rian Miles, or any other persons representatives or teaching/instructor in at the Ballet Academy of Moses Lake responsible for any injuries acquired by my child or any other child in such case. I understand that any medical needs are cost due to my or any other child being injured while participating in this program or not the responsibility of Ballet Academy of Moses Lake, Lacey Schindler, Rian Miles or any other persons representing the Ballet Academy Moses Lake.

  • I also give the BAML my full permission to use my child's picture and video for advertisement and marketing.

  • I acknowledge that proper dance class attire is required and will be always upheld.


Studio Policies

Dress Code 
Ballet-  
All dancers are required to wear pink footed tights free of any holes or runs, pink ballet slippers and their class colored leotard. No attached skirts please. Hair must be in a NEAT BUN. Everyone needs to come ready to dance with hair done and appropriate shoes, tights, and leotards at least 10 minutes before the start of your class. Pre ballet – Black     Beg ballet – Lt. Pink   Level 2- Lavender     Level 3- White      Level 4- Lt. Blue      Level 5- Royal Blue      Level 6- Navy 

In cold weather your dancer is allowed to wear only form fitting ballet warm-ups. Black wrap skirts are OK for older students only. No baggy clothes or jewelry allowed during class. Levels 4, 5, & 6 are required to have one tennis ball (can be bought at Big R for .99cent) and 1 Thera-Band/Exercise Band that is 8-10lb resistance that is to be kept in their bag at all times.                                                                                                                               

Jazz, Lyrical & HVDC- All students are required to wear dark, form fitting clothes. No baggy warm ups or jewelry. Hair must be up into a secure ponytail. Dancers need to be barefoot. Black socks are OK for colder weather. Please make sure that your dancer is dressed in a professional manner.

Hip Hop- Students need to wear loose fitting clothes, no jeans or heavy jackets. They will need to have tennis shoes or similar style shoes that are not worn outside but are used only in the studio.  Hair must be up into a secure ponytail.

Tap- Students need to wear loose fitting clothes, no jeans or heavy jackets. They will need to have tap shoes. Hair must be up into a secure ponytail.

All students need to bring a personal water bottle with them to their class. Please note that at the end of each month all clothes and shoes that are left at the studio will be taken to the local Goodwill for donation.  We are not responsible for any lost or misplaced items. The 3rd week of every month the kids can wear bright colored clothing to all classes except Ballet.  The 4th week of each month parents can watch all classes except ballet classes. 

Attendance
Students need to be at their classes on time. There will be a 10 min grace period after which they will be considered absent and may be asked to sit and watch the class. We will make an exception if your child’s school doesn’t get out in time for classes to start.  If your child has less than 90% attendance in any give class the parent maybe contacted to have a meeting with the director. Please inform the studio via e-mail  if your child is going to be absent before their class

Studio Closures
If the studio needs to close for any reason we will send out emails and post any information on Facebook before 1pm. Please make sure your emails are current and checked daily. During colder weather we will close if we feel it is too dangerous to drive. 

The studio will be closed on the following holidays…
Labor Day, Halloween, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break, & Memorial Day.


Payments
All payments are due at the first of each month. A $25 late fee will be applied to your account if received after the 10th. Our late fee will be strictly enforced. If the 10th falls on a Holiday or on a weekend please make sure to pay before the holiday or weekend. We will not prorate any tuition. If you need to drop or make changes to your child’s classes you must fill out an early withdraw/transfer form before the first of each month. If your child is gone for any length of time due to vacation or any other reason you will still be required to pay the full month of tuition. Parking Lot/Drop off
Parking is available on the street or in the parking lot across from the studio. DO NOT park in the ally or in the parking lot behind the studio for any reason or you may be towed. Baby Studio students may be dropped off in the ally and enter the back door before class. Small studio and Large studio students may enter the studio through the front entrance. All younger student need to be picked up inside the building by a parent or adult.  We are not responsible for the pickup of children. If you are unable to pick up your child for any reason on time please let the front desk know ASAP.
